The Role
Proactively support the safe manufacturing of goods, taking responsibility for all aspects of team planning and scheduling, including the scheduling and ordering of raw materials. Serve as the key liaison between the Head of Planning and Operations to ensure that expertise meets organizational and customer requirements on time and in full, 100% of the time, without affecting costs and production timelines.
Duties Include:
* Lead Planners and Raw Material Schedulers with transparency and strong values.
* Advise the Head of Planning on all aspects of planning, forecasting, and scheduling.
* Use management information (MI) to prioritize production and packing schedules, ensuring consistency.
* Collaborate with other teams and departments to achieve site goals.
* Apply financial discipline to ensure cost-effective operations.
* Maintain demand requirements to meet stakeholder needs.
* Set and deliver planning goals to meet business objectives.
* Ensure stock levels meet targets and take action to prevent shortages.
* Plan for contingencies to maintain sufficient stock.
* Ensure effective factory planning and clear communication.
* Promote a safety-focused work environment, address issues, and ensure compliance.
* Coach colleagues on safety and hygiene practices.
* Foster a strong food safety and quality culture, ensuring standards are met.
* Continuously improve cost management for the team.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
* Management qualification or equivalent experience.
* Allergen Management qualification.
* A-levels or equivalent education.
* 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Planning in an FMCG food environment.
* Experience with chilled and frozen environments.
* Knowledge of fish products and coated processing.
* Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Proven ability to achieve objectives and key measures efficiently.
* Skilled in managing priorities and projects across multiple sites and functions.
* Committed to leading by example and demonstrating role model behaviors.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation abilities.
* Experience with SAP or similar systems.
