Sales & Consultant Manager - Luxury Beauty Field Based – London 37.5 hour week Salary £55,000 - £65,000 plus discretionary bonus, product allowance and excellent employee benefits. About the Role An exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Consultant Sales Manager with previous luxury fashion / fragrance / beauty experience to join a prestigious and highly successful business, overseeing a portfolio of renowned luxury beauty brands and leading retailers. In this field-based management role you'll be cultivating close relationships with top-tier Department Store teams (Harrods / Selfridges) and select independent retailers across the London area to drive business growth. You will be entrusted with training, inspiring and influencing the performance of approximately 40 Business and Counter Managers and Brand Consultants, while collaborating with the International Flagship Manager to achieve strategic objectives and elevate the client experience. Responsibilities Analyse business by brand in each store to ensure awareness and understanding of business across the area. Review business performance and area development with International Flagship Manager on a weekly basis. Discuss potential opportunities within the area for improved space and location with International Flagship Manager. Store visits – ensure International Flagship Manager / Head of Retail and Senior Management receive all relevant door information prior to the visit and at an agreed time before traveling with the Consultant Sales Manager in order to prepare as necessary. Stock Control: Ensure stock levels in stores are sufficient to achieve retail growth. Report problems to International Flagship Manager (Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Liberty, Fortnum & Mason) and National Accounts Manager – JLP/Boots/Fenwick. Plan and organize diary in advance and review with International Flagship Manager a minimum of 4 weeks ahead of time, updating and communicating any subsequent changes. Review and agree rotas as submitted by Business/Counter Managers one month ahead (on a rolling monthly basis). Once reviewed discuss and amend accordingly with the Business/Counter Manager and organize additional cover including mobile cover and agency. Management of mobile team. Recruit, motivate, review performance taking feedback from stores. Communicate with Finance and Payment department on mobile and agency costs. Build and preserve strong rapport with Store Management during all communications. Key to this role is building strong face to face relationships with key in-store contacts. Ensure all administration is conducted on a timely and accurate basis. Maximize in-store new launch activations, events, and site opportunities in the area. Consult with International Flagship Manager and Marketing on opportunities within the area. Team Management To motivate and evaluate Business Manager, Counter Manager, and consultant performance and set specific motivational objectives. Monitor performance versus objectives on an ongoing basis. Maintain contact with all field personnel who have an input into your individual accounts. Retail Sales by brand Mix of business On counter activity Average unit Sale, Average £ Sale – overall consultant productivity. Consultant Performance assessments Account Managers Meetings/Team Meetings/City Meetings. Ongoing training to ensure follow-up on product knowledge and selling skills training of consultants to achieve and maintain the targets set by the company. Visual Merchandising Ensure all counters and promotional areas are correctly merchandised as directed by the Company. Pre-launch site checks for all centrally negotiated sites with particular focus on execution vs guidelines, stock levels, and collateral. Maximize in-store visual projection on counter, in windows, and extra display areas. Negotiate, where possible, additional store support including sites and window opportunities.
