GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher to join our primary school in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a passion for making a positive impact on young learners' lives.
Job summary:
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of your students. You will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and fosters a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
3. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet all students' needs.
4. Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the KS1 curriculum.
Essential Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Degree in Education or a related field.
3. Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 students.
4. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Key Stage 1.
5. Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
6. An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
7. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
