Your New Role:
As a Deputy Manager you will have the responsibility for assisting the Home Manager in all aspects of managing the home. The Deputy Manager is critical to the continued success of the home, working across all aspects of care; the role gives a great opportunity to take managerial and leadership responsibilities whilst continuing to deliver clinical care.
In absence of the Home Manager, the Deputy Manager is the key point of contact for Staff Nurses and a working member of the team. This role is an opportunity to take responsibility of the nursing / care management of the Home, maintain high standards of care and monitor performance of Staff Nurses.
The Deputy Manager will also be expected, from time to time, to assist the Home Manager with unexpected visits and inspections of the Home.
About The Role
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and values:
- A qualified Nurse registered with NMC (RGN/RMN).
- At least 4 years post qualifying experience, of which 1 year must be held at a senior nurse level.
- A strong passion and commitment to enhance the specialist services we deliver.
- Must have a compassionate and caring nature.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible approach to shift work.
- Applications will be considered from an experienced Staff Nurse looking for career progression.
