We are seeking to recruit highly motivated and innovative practitioners to train as Health Visitors, to lead 0-19 Public Health Nursing and deliver great service to our children and families in Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN's) work at individual, community, and population levels in a preventative social model of health, designed to empower families to take control of and improve their own health and wellbeing.

We are inviting NMC qualified nurses and applicants who will have an NMC pin prior to the commencement of the programme (Part 1, Part 2), to apply for a training contract to complete the PgDip in Public Health Practice, with University of Surrey.
As well as academic study, you will experience placements within Health Visiting teams across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. On successful completion of your studies, you will gain a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification in Health Visiting, be offered a post (location to be determined) within our services, and be paid at salary Band 6.
Successful applicants must have a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree. Applicants who have a Diploma in Education or a bachelor's degree with a lower grade may be considered using the University of Surrey Advanced Standing process.

Job responsibilities
Please note you need to have an NMC registration before starting the course and a full driving licence including business car insurance and use of a vehicle. This post is subject to Occupational Health Clearance and an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse on Part 1 or 2 of the NMC Register or be a registered midwife

* Full driving licence with own access to vehicle
