Job Duties:
* Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities in a classroom setting
* Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students
* Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and materials
* Help students to develop their social, emotional, and independent living skills
* Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support student development
Required Qualifications:
* GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
* Experience working with children or young people
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs
Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
* Teaching Assistant qualification
* First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
You will be based in a school environment, working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff. The role may involve some physical activity and occasional challenging behaviour from students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
