Physiotherapy service covering all of Aberdeenshire. Office base TBC
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapist to lead the Aberdeenshire Physiotherapy team. This post will be working alongside other AHP Leads in Aberdeenshire to support activity in Aberdeenshire and an excellent team of Physiotherapists who work in this area. This post will also take lead responsibility for clinical areas of work for Physiotherapy across NHS Grampian. The successful post holder will be expected to take strategic and operational responsibilities for the service and be involved in multi cross system multidisciplinary teams and meetings. In recent years the Physiotherapy service has seen a significant increase in it use of digital platforms and technologies within a variety of settings and this post offers great opportunities in progressing this further. The Physiotherapists in Aberdeenshire are proactive in supporting ongoing CPD, undertake supervision and also provide undergraduate education to dietitians and other health care professionals
.
The successful applicant will lead the Physiotherapy service in Aberdeenshire that has a wide ranging clinical remit covering Rehabilitation Physiotherapists in community Hospitals. Community therapy services, Pulmonary Rehab, MSK Physiotherapy Outpatients and first contact Practioners Physiotherapists in Primary care across Aberdeenshire. Services are provided in an outpatient, domicilary, community hospital and care home setting.
The Physiotherapists working in Aberdeenshire are well linked to other Physiotherapists and clinicians across NHS Grampian and are seen to frequently work with other third sector organisations.
NHS Grampian Physiotherapy teams cover the North East of Scotland serving a region from the cairngorms to the North Sea including coastal moray. The ARI hospital site houses all clinical specialties with the exception of organ transplant and paediatric ITU. NHS Grampian provides healthcare for a population of 540,000 with around 40% living within Aberdeen and the remaining 60% in Aberdeenshire and Moray.
