Led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and in partnership with YMCA Downslink, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust and Southdown, Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service provides a community-based range of evidence-based therapeutic and clinical interventions to support children, young people, and adults with mild to moderate mental health needs. Our service is based in the community and located primarily within SPFT venues and GP Practices. We receive referrals from a number of routes including self-referrals and by General Practitioners, working closely with community and secondary care Mental Health services.
We are recruiting a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Team Lead to join our expanding Talking Therapies service.
This role will be responsible for providing effective leadership and management for the Step 2 Clinical team, promoting the effective delivery of Step 2 interventions.
1. Provide line management and ensure provision of clinical supervision, meta supervision, and case management for Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) and PWPs.
2. Manage PWP trainees ensuring provision of clinical supervision, mentorship, case management, and support.
3. Provision of low intensity interventions.
4. Make an active contribution to pursue the aims, objectives, and overall strategy of the Service and the Trust seeking opportunities to influence policy development through clear articulation of service user and service needs.
5. Coordinate recruitment and selection of staff within the team.
6. Respond to and manage client complaints, SUI's, and other challenging issues affecting the team as appropriate.
7. Ensure equality and diversity is considered in all aspects of the team's business.
8. Work closely with colleagues, managers, corporate directorates, and partner agencies to continuously improve services.
9. Ensure that all aspects of Safeguarding are adhered to, and that policies and procedures are followed at all times.
