To continue to build on this foundation and to promote our successful data strategy, we are recruiting a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platforms team working with our DevOps Engineers. You’ll be responsible for deploying solutions, identifying production issues and implementing cloud integrations to meet our legal needs, while automating wherever possible though code to continuously improve efficiency. As a member of such a dynamic team, you should be an effective communicator and a resilient, resourceful person. Ideally conversant with the ideas contained in appropriate best practice processes and documentation frameworks, such as ITIL. You should also be able to work independently and be self-motivated. What will you do: As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will need to demonstrate leadership qualities towards delivering our cloud strategy, with a strong understanding of DevOps principals and experience of working in either DevOps or Iterative development culture. Build, design, deploy, maintain and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions across the public cloud offering using infrastructure as a code (pipeline and Bicep deployment). Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities. Contribute to increasing operational efficiency with FinOps, helping to bring overall cloud cost under control. Implement and contribute to best practices for cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery. Implement and refine cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices. Act as a technical project lead around further software defined services and offerings. Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools. Recognize and resolve all business issues and impact. Assess urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution accordingly including service quality initiatives to support a “five nines” product availability environment. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required; maintain cloud environmental and monitoring resources. Participate in the design, implementation and management of workload automation initiatives. Adhere to firm Change Management, Problem Management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalised IT operations foundations. Maintain all operational documentation, manuals, policies and procedures kept in the Wiki. Identify, suggest and action any continual improvements, enhancement and benefits towards our cloud technologies, specifically: cost management (TCO), optimisation and security hardening. Collaborate with internal network team, security team and CISO to ensure security posture is well maintained and remains complainant. What we are looking for: Excellent knowledge and proven experience implementing continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) tools, including pipeline design and administration. Experience of working with infrastructure as a code, Bicep, ARM or Terraform. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, specifically Pipelines and Version control (Git). Good understanding of Azure networking, good knowledge of VNETs, VWAN, Express Route and Virtual Network Gateways, (P2S and S2S), Hub & Spoke Network Topology, VPN Failover. Good knowledge of Application Gateways, Load Balancer, Azure Firewall and Front Door. Good Understanding of Azure Security Principals, including Managed Identities, Key Vault, Conditional Access and Azure Security Centre. Good Knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Webapps, Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery. Good Knowledge of Databases and, ideally, SQL. Problem-solving attitude. Collaborative team spirit.
