Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Teacher to join an Alternative Provision in the Burnley area. This full-time, long-term position offers a unique chance to work with students who may face various barriers to learning. The successful candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young learners, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering high-quality lessons to primary-aged children in an alternative provision setting.
* Identifying and addressing individual learning needs to ensure each child has the support they need to succeed.
* Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborating with colleagues and external agencies to remove barriers to learning.
* Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students' social and emotional development.
* Monitoring and assessing students' progress, adapting teaching strategies as required.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Passion for working with children with additional learning needs or challenging behaviour.
* Strong understanding of how to remove barriers to learning and promote inclusivity.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals.
* Experience working in a primary school or similar setting, preferably within alternative provisions.
* A commitment to making a positive difference in students' lives.
Desirable:
* Experience working with children who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with additional learning needs (SEND).
