We are looking for a compassionate, confident and dynamic person as our Welcome Worker (Internally known within The Salvation Army as ' Concierge') who wants to make a difference in the lives of homeless people. Our role is to provide a safe place to stay and to access support for people who have substance use issues and complex needs. The service delivery model is rooted in the harm reduction approach, based on trauma-informed practice, is strength-based and uses person-centred approaches. Key Responsibilities: The ability to form positive, supportive and motivating relationships. Controlling safe and secure entry into the building and ensuring clients are signed in and out of the service. Manage queries, phone calls and visitors to the service. Manage and maintain records and messages on client and service logs. Manage enquiries relating to available accommodation and facilitate access to emergency accommodation if required. Work with enthusiasm and compassion towards supporting homeless individuals to achieve focused and positive life outcomes. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: Excellent customer service skills Experience of managing a busy front office environment including dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries Excellent planning, organising and time management skills Skills in IT use including Microsoft Ability to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army with regard to delivering services to vulnerable people without discrimination In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
