Job summary We are looking to recruit a Dispensing Assistant level NVQ2 to join our well established, friendly and very busy practice dispensary. You must be self-motivated, conscientious, professional, enthusiastic and able to use your own initiative. The post holder must have experience of working within a busy dispensary and providing a quality service to patients. They will show that they can follow policies and procedures, have excellent organisational and customer service skills and be able to work well under pressure. The successful candidate must be an active team player and be very flexible to work within a team of dispensary staff. Main duties of the job The post will involve performing a variety of pharmacy duties including ordering stock, dispensing prescriptions, accuracy checking, blister packs, dealing with a variety of medication queries, counselling patients, interacting with other healthcare professionals. Previous experience of working in a GP practice, an understanding of prescribing within primary care would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given. About us Pendre had been in operation as a surgery since before 1960, the original building being a detached house. Various extensions have taken place since this time and the original two doctor partnership has grown to the current five doctor Partnership.
