Finance Manager – Charity
Job Duties:
The Finance Manager for a national charity in Birkenhead, plays a crucial role in overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation. REporting into the Executive Director of Finance, you will oversee a small, but robust team.
Responsibilities:
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the transactional team, budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will also be involved in leading external auditors and providing financial guidance to the senior management team.
Required Qualifications:
* A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. AAT Level 4 or higher)
* Proven experience in financial management within the charity or not-for-profit sector
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
* Great leadership skills
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
* Ability to prepare financial statements and reports
* Experience in managing budgets and cash flow
* Knowledge of charity accounting practises
