We are looking for an Onshore Maintenance Fitter based in our Newcastle (North Shields) location. The successful applicant must be highly motivated and able to work as part of a team. They will be responsible for ensuring that Plant and Equipment on site is properly maintained, operates reliably and is operationally ready. Main Duties Carry out all practical maintenance tasks on site to ensure all plant and equipment is well maintained, regularly serviced and recorded/checked for so it is available for operational use. Respond to calls for assistance from staff in the event of mechanical defect or failure of any plant or equipment. Undertake such repairs that are practicable and organise repairs by liaising with contractors where appropriate. Assisting with and supervising where required the installation of new plant and equipment, ensuring the contractors work is of the required standard and to our specifications and raising permits to work where applicable. Undertake Portable Appliance Testing (P.A.T) of electrical equipment and maintain records. Ensure electrical equipment is safe and available for use. Keeping of records for HAVS testing/monitoring for both tooling and the individuals. Keeping of records for H&S equipment used including RPE/PPE Attend to general ‘handyman’ jobs as and where they may occur Qualifications Required: Time Served Maintenance Fitter Experience Required: Mechanical / Electrical Knowledge Knowledge of plant and associated equipment Desirable: Ability to organise contractor / suppliers when required including raising permits to work as and where required Skills/Training Required: Ability to operate plant and equipment Ability to work to deadlines Desirable: FLT licence/willing to obtain one Decent level of computer-based skills regarding document file storage What’s in it for you?
