Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Head of Supply Chain to join our MRO Europe business where you'll use your extensive knowledge of planning and SIOP to lead and optimise materials within our Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) function. This role will be based at our newly created Ontic Tewkesbury site but travel between all of our Gloucestershire sites should be expected. The Role: In this key leadership role, you will manage a team of MRO planners, ensuring materials are effectively provisioned, sourced, received, stored, and delivered to technicians to support customer needs. You will also oversee the SIOP cycle to maximize material availability and drive performance improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and empowering your team, fostering both their personal and professional growth. You’ll need to manage and execute the SIOP cycle to align provisioning with market conditions and the sales funnel. Oversee stores, logistics, and develop a USM plan to address lead time gaps. Ensure adherence to the authority matrix, securing formal approval for investments. Track and report key KPIs through Power BI dashboards. Collaborate with Operations to assess capacity and implement necessary actions. Work closely with PMO to balance supply and demand during business transitions, ensuring continuity. Coordinate with other Ontic sites for material stability, lead repair planning for accurate forecasting, and foster strong supply chain relationships. Address invoice queries, conduct supplier visits, and present performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
