The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious individual to join our internal sales team on an initial 12-month contract, with the opportunity for the role to evolve into an external sales position for the right candidate. This position is integral to fostering relationships with our existing clients, encouraging showroom visits, and expanding sales of brands, including Ubiquiti, Sonos, Sanus, Middle Atlantic and all infrastructure cabling. The initial focus will be on growing our commodity business through targeted efforts within our current account base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to drive sales and promote our second-tier brands. Engage with clients through regular communication to understand their needs and position Habitech’s product range effectively.
2. Showroom Engagement: Encourage and facilitate client visits to our Basingstoke showroom, leveraging it as our most valuable asset. Assist in providing an exceptional showroom experience by learning to present our array of technologies and coordinating the participation of other team members.
3. Sales Development: Work to grow the commodity business within our existing account base, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products such as Ubiquiti, Sonos, racks, and cabling.
4. Targeted Account Growth: Although initially not assigned specific accounts, you will focus on targeting existing customers to grow their business with Habitech, driving sales and margin growth in line with company objectives.
5. Collaborative Sales Approach: Arrange and attend dedicated video calls with our pre-sales technical staff to explore potential sales opportunities. Draw on the expertise of the wider Habitech team, ensuring that client relationships are not solely reliant on the account manager but instead foster a broader network of support.
6. Training and Development: Take part in ongoing training to develop in-depth product knowledge across our portfolio. Learn to present showroom technologies effectively, enhancing the overall client experience.
7. Transition to External Sales: For the right candidate, this role will transition into an external business development manager sales position, taking on greater responsibility for managing and developing client accounts.
Candidate Profile:
* A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated and proactive, with a keen interest in luxury audio-visual solutions.
* Experience in a sales environment is desirable, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally important.
* Comfortable arranging and participating in virtual and in-person meetings.
* Highly organised with an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* A team player who can work collaboratively with various departments to maximise sales opportunities and enhance client experiences.
* Interest in transitioning to a more externally focused sales role as part of career development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
