This role will involve supporting students on 1:1 or in small groups, under the instruction of the class teacher. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students including those with special educational needs. Build rapport with young people and create an inclusive environment. Assist with differentiated learning activities. Support students with social, emotional, and academic challenges. Be dedicated to supporting students in reaching their full potential. Teaching Assistant Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role. Experience working with SEN students, ideally within a secondary school setting is preferred. Relevant qualifications in education or a related field. Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Have good communication and interpersonal skills. Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
