About This Opportunity
We are looking for the right candidate to join us as a Technical Clerk, providing efficient, effective, and confidential technical support to the Housing Standards Team within Public Health and Protection. This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months, as part of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ Healthy Homes Pilot.
This role will support the Housing Standards and Enforcement team to deliver a statutory housing function for Cumberland Council, covering housing standards and enforcement in the private rented sector and the licensing of Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMOs).
The role will involve maintaining accurate and up to date case records, data collection, preparation of key performance indicators, assisting with the production of enforcement notices, responses to freedom of information requests, minute taking, and general administrative support.
The successful candidate will be based in Workington, but the role may involve some travel across the whole Cumberland area, and there is flexibility to work from home, subject to manager approval and the needs of the service.
