Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing essential support to students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum, and promoting a positive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure that all students, regardless of their challenges, have the opportunity to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
2. Help students with tasks such as reading, writing, and physical or emotional support.
3. Help maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
4. Support students with social skills, emotional regulation, and daily classroom routines.
5. Inspire and motivate other pupils to reach their full potential.
Key Requirements
1. Previous experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs (desirable).
2. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of pupils.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Flexibility and a proactive approach to adapting to individual student needs.
5. Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are beneficial, but not required.
