Rate of Pay: £13.15 per hour, after successful training the rate of pay will increase to £14.49 per hour. Job Duties: Complete pre start checks on the line ensuring compliance. Setup Labellers/Sealing machines/oil depositors/multipond and meat slicers in the correct manner to prevent damage or downtime. Able to perform changeovers/cleaning in the allocated time frame and to the correct quality standards as laid out by the business policies and procedures. Able to read and understand the production plan. Able to complete relevant paperwork needed to maintain the line and it's legal requirements. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in the appropriate condition for operational use. Ensure that staff on the line are following the correct PPE colour identification especially for allergens. Ensure lines are run in a manner to prevent health and safety/quality breaches. Able to keep the line performing at the planned targets or higher, in the event of failure be able to provide suitable information with regards to the event. Able to adjust the lines to assist with improving the targets and KPI’s and have full understanding of consequences of change. Able to control waste levels and make adjustments to prevent waste from occurring. Able to control giveaway levels and prevent giveaway from exceeding target. Able to input data into the Gemba system or able to provide adequate details regarding issues and potential resolutions needed to prevent downtime. Assist supervisors/Managers in projects to reduce/remove downtime events. Communicate with supervisors/Managers with any plan changes that may need to happen to maintain KPI’s.
