Active Personnel Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our client's team. This role involves handling and transporting materials using a telehandler, ensuring smooth operations in a busy yard and workshop environment. You will work closely with logistics coordinators, drivers, and stock controllers to support daily operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
1. Operate a telehandler to load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
2. Handle and transport plastic pipes, pallets, and other large goods.
3. Assist with daily picking, packing, and dispatch of products.
4. Ensure the yard and workshop areas are well-kept, organised, and visually appealing.
5. Support the movement and storage of products across the site.
6. Work alongside logistics and workshop teams to fulfil customer supply requirements.
7. Follow health and safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Skills & Requirements
1. MUST HAVE - Telehandler experience (valid certification preferred).
2. Forklift (FLT) experience is highly desirable.
3. Experience handling and moving large goods.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Training will be provided on the operation of the Merlo telehandler.
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent (through Active Personnel Recruitment Ltd)
Pay: £12.60 - £13.50 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
