Job Overview
We currently have a full time vacancy in the Paediatric Audiology team! Do you have a desire to join a dedicated team that provides Audiologist and Consultant led clinics across four sites in East Kent? The ideal candidate needs to be enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, adaptive and have a passion to work with children, young people and their families/guardians.
We are a multi-speciality service focusing on the early diagnosis and management of hearing loss in children and young people. Our patient centred service aims to provide in depth diagnostic assessment, investigation and rehabilitative management in order to meet each child's hearing needs.
The post holder will deliver high quality patient centred care. They will work autonomously providing audiological assessments, rehabilitation, diagnosis and treatment plans to the paediatric caseload within both hospital and community clinics. To support the Consultant Audio-vestibular Physician and the Lead Paediatric Audiologist in providing a high-quality service.

Applicant Requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* BSc Audiology Parts I and II BAAT, MPPM RCCP or HCPC registration
Desirable criteria:
* Deaf awareness training/BSL Stage 1 or above/MSc Audiology
Experience
Essential criteria:
* 3 years of experience of working in an NHS audiology department.
* At least 1-year experience as a paediatric audiologist.
* Experienced in performing objective & behavioural assessments for 0-18yrs of age.
* Experienced at paediatric hearing aid fittings and rehabilitation.
* Experience of peer reviews.
* Experience of working with the deaf, their families and culture.
Desirable criteria:
* Experience in Electrophysiological assessment for young babies, children and young people.
* Experience in sharing the news.
Skills
Essential criteria:
* Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workload.
* Excellent Communicator and ability to work with diverse populations and within multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge
Essential criteria:
* Working knowledge of a range of clinical conditions and current best practice for Audiology management.
* Sound knowledge of the Newborn Hearing Screening Pathway and protocols.
Other Requirements
Essential criteria:
* To be aware of and adhere to the Trust's Vision, Mission and Values.
* Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workload and an ability to multi-task, able to work under pressure.
