Job Summary Monitors distribution centre activities for the efficient and effective planning, performance and coordination of equipment, workload and resources. The control room team provide high quality, cost effective and efficient service to meet current and future demands. Optimise the use of provided facilities, technology and processes, including Warehouse Simulation Model and configuration of the WAMAS warehouse management system. Compliance with internal policies, procedures and external regulations including quality, health and safety and environment. Coordinates with the management team to provide oversight and direction for assigned employees, financial and operational activities. Principle role Responsibilities: Responsible for the efficient flow of work through the building, includes monitoring automation, deployment of people and workload Provide planning, coordination and control service to the DC Team, in support of defined business and customer needs Monitoring equipment performance Providing feedback, troubleshooting and direction to supervisors of issues Liaison with Resident Maintenance Completes end to end Control Room processes to meet customer requirements and site performance targets Manages own performance to agreed metrics and processes to ensure exceptional levels of service across all areas within the distribution centre Ensures documentation and system settings are complete, accurate and processed appropriately. Plans, develops and/or implements quality assurance and continuous improvement procedures. Ensures work areas are well maintained and in compliance with all safety regulations and department policies. Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, especially through the use of recommendations derived from analytical insights and computer simulation. Other duties as assigned. Principal Site Responsibilities: Manages control room performance to meet customer requirements and support achievement of site results Maintains a clean safe working environment at all times. Communicates with peers and senior leadership team regarding ongoing performance and areas of improvement. Drive performance, engagement and collaboration to create a safe, efficient and engaged working environment Experience, Skills & Behaviours required: Ability to work in a fast paced environment to specific targets and deadlines. Prior experience of working in a Control Room team in an automated warehouse preferred Experience in a high volume distribution centre preferred Good communicator and influencer with a focus on exceptional performance and collaborative working.
