Our Meallmore team at Forthland Lodge are ready to warmly welcome you as a Care Assistant within their care home. Conveniently located close to the city centre of Edinburgh, Forthland Lodge offers residents safe, comfortable surroundings in a purpose-built nursing home. Our purpose-built care home provides high quality, personalised nursing care for people living with an acquired brain injury and older people, including those living with dementia and its related conditions.
Please note that we do offer visa sponsorships, however we currently have no visa sponsorships available at this time.
Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:
* To promote/provide a high quality of care and support in accordance with Individual care/support plans.
* To assist in creating wellbeing within a caring environment and be involved in the general activities of the home.
* To adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, National Care Standards.
* To work in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
* Collaborate with care staff in your department and wider teams.
* Carry out personal care duties.
Desirable skills:
* Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
* SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
* Communication and rapport building skills.
* Kind caring nature.

Salary: £12.00 - £12.10 per hour + overtime rates + benefits
