Ideally you will have experience within the Pharmacy apprenticeship provision, but we are also keen to hear from you if you have a passion for education and training. What we are looking for: - GPhC Registration - Teaching experience (desirable) - Teaching qualification (desirable) - Enthusiastic and professional - Passionate about educating the future workforce - CET Level 4 (This can be provided so a willingness to complete is essential) Job Purpose: To support learners to enhance their Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours within their learning programme. To carry a case load of learners and ensure they are progressing through their learning programme, that learners receive quality assessment, structured teaching, Functional Skills, CognAssist assessments for LSF support, and reviews that are required as part of a learning programme. All of which is to be delivered in an engaging, efficient and timely manner. Based: Home/Remote based – Regional travel for regular student visits and travel to conferences Key Accountabilities: Deliver good quality teaching in line with the EIF. Maintain a blended learning approach adaptable to all individual learners’ needs. Deliver knowledge skills and behaviours in line with the apprenticeship standard requirements and EPAO assessment plan. Carry out learner assessments within area of occupational competence. Ensure that Initial Assessments are completed and include the screening exercise for learning support. Carry out regular learner reviews to ensure the learner is retaining information and ensuring any gaps in knowledge are covered. Carry out regular learner progress reviews to maintain ESFA compliance and to ensure that learners complete their learning programme on or before the planned funding end date. Look for opportunities with the learner to stretch and challenge learners knowledge, skills and behaviours. Job descriptions are reviewed on a regular basis and are subject to reasonable changes at any given time. To carry out any administrative work associated with the learning programmes that the company delivers, such as completing learner documentation that is required as part of funding compliance. Ensuring that all documentation is uploaded onto the the relevant platform the same week. Maintain regular contact with learners and employers within your area (caseload) to ensure engagement with learning. Contact employers and learners and arrange a suitable and convenient time for enrolments, teaching and learning sessions and reviews (any type of visit must be arranged in advance). Carry out initial assessments, including additional learning and social needs with learners. Ensure all additional needs are supported and adjustments to learning are made to meet the individuals needs. Ensure that opportunities to progress onto further learning are fully supported and encouraged. i.e progressing onto level 3 from level 2 qualifications, encouraging students to work towards higher levels of Functional Skills. Ensure Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Prevent and British Values are embedded into all teaching and learning and reflected in the Workplace Learning Logs at each visit. Update and maintain learner e-portfolios and Virtual Learning Environment. Ensure evidence is uploaded within a timely manner. Ensure Learners progress is monitored and any risks to PED managed and or escalated where appropriate. Ensure that you stay up to date with ESFA funding rules. Ensure all administrative documentation in your area of responsibility meets ESFA requirements and internal quality standards. To perform such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility. Safeguarding: Ensure that you are aware of the process to be followed in any Safeguarding issue and who to contact. Ensure that knowledge on Safeguarding is maintained and mandatory training completed promptly. Health & Safety Ensure all contractual requirements for Health & Safety are met and appropriately documented. Ensure the Health and Safety Policy is adhered to at all times and report any concerns to HR. Equality & Diversity Ensure the Equality & Diversity Policy is adhered to at all times and report any concerns. you may have to your line manager or HR. Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) Be aware of the company’s SAR and QIP and where required ensure any actions asked are carried out General: Keep own CPD up to date and ensure that all updates are recorded on a CPD log. To take reasonable care of own health, safety and welfare and that of other persons who may be affected by his or her acts or omissions in the workplace. To inform Line Manager of any work situation that presents a potential or actual Health and Safety at Work hazard. Collaborate with other departments when required on various projects which align with your experience, such as programme design and creation of course content. To follow instructions and co-operate in respect of any imposed H&S duty or requirement and to use equipment supplied for H&S reasons. To support the Company in ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act (GDPR). Work to promote and contribute to the Company’s Equality and Diversity policies. To participate in the Company’s staff appraisal process ensuring set objectives are achieved. To adhere to all Company policies and procedures, over and above the specific policies mentioned above.
