The postholder will: Act as a specialist Dietitian in the field of prehabilitation. Be responsible for the delivery of prehabilitation alongside anaesthetic and AHP colleagues. Undertake advanced nutritional assessments and deliver dietetic interventions to patients who are on the prehabilitation programme. These patients often have complex and / or chronic presentations. Deliver group education sessions to patients as part of the prehabilitation programme. Deliver 1:1 dietetic consultations as part of the prehabilitation programme, both in an outpatient and inpatient setting. Work as an autonomous practitioner to undertake a significant specialist clinical caseload, working without direct supervision. Act as an expert dietetic resource for the prehabilitation team. Take a role in supervision and teaching - providing day-to day support to junior dietetic staff within the team, participating in multi-disciplinary team teaching and student education. Be responsible for setting and monitoring of standards and policies of dietetic clinical practice for the prehabilitation service and evaluate outcomes. Demonstrate leadership skills in the areas of service development, quality improvement projects and monitoring of standards of practice to develop multidisciplinary management of patients.
