Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Data Management (MDM) Strategy & Implementation Lead to design, implement, and drive the adoption of an enterprise-wide MDM strategy. The ideal candidate will lead the conceptualization and rollout of MDM practices, ensuring that critical data is standardized, consistent, and accurate across all systems. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the Data Quality Framework Ramp-Up to continually improve and maintain high data quality standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the organization's data management strategy and work with cross-functional teams to improve data governance, business intelligence, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. MDM Strategy Development & Conceptualization
1. Develop a comprehensive Master Data Management (MDM) strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives and data governance requirements.
2. Define the key data domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier) to be included in the MDM program and develop a roadmap for implementation.
3. Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify data integration points, establish data standards, and ensure the seamless management of critical data.
4. Define and implement best practices for data governance, including data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.
2. MDM Implementation & Rollout
1. Lead the MDM system implementation lifecycle from initial concept to full-scale deployment.
2. Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure MDM tools and technologies are selected, configured, and deployed effectively.
3. Develop and manage project plans for the rollout, ensuring that timelines, resources, and budgets are adhered to.
4. Implement MDM processes to integrate data from multiple systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, and other legacy systems), ensuring consistency and accuracy of the master data.
5. Oversee the migration of data to MDM systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, and completeness.
3. Data Quality Framework Ramp-Up
1. Define, design, and deploy a robust Data Quality Framework to maintain and improve data quality standards across the organization.
2. Set up data quality metrics (e.g., completeness, accuracy, timeliness) and implement monitoring systems to track data quality over time.
3. Work with business and IT teams to design and implement data cleansing, validation, and enrichment strategies.
4. Ensure that data quality processes are embedded into everyday operations and aligned with the MDM strategy.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
1. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and ensure alignment with business goals.
2. Establish and maintain relationships with data stewards, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure that MDM practices are successfully adopted.
3. Lead training and awareness programs on MDM and data quality best practices for business and technical teams.
4. Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new data governance practices across the organization.
5. Continuous Improvement & Reporting
1. Lead ongoing assessments of the MDM and Data Quality Framework to ensure it evolves in response to business needs and technological advancements.
2. Develop reports and dashboards to track and communicate the effectiveness of the MDM and data quality initiatives to senior leadership.
3. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to MDM, data governance, and data quality.
