On behalf of a prestigious London-based client within Private Banking, we're looking for a seasoned Azure Architect to join their team and play a crucial role in delivering scalable, efficient, and secure cloud solutions. As part of this greenfield project, you'll design and implement Azure cloud architectures that enable agility and responsiveness to business needs, driving efficiency in delivering new products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture Design: Develop robust and secure Azure cloud environments that meet business requirements for performance, availability, and compliance.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all Azure deployments meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, including data protection and secure access controls.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep for automation and resource management.
- Cloud Migration: Lead the migration of on-premises applications to Azure, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to keep costs in check.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to maintain service continuity.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and IT teams to align cloud strategies with business goals, while mentoring junior engineers.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain up-to-date architectural documentation and implement Azure best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and migration projects.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, networking, storage, and security.
- Experience in DevOps automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record in designing cloud migration strategies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with microservices architecture in Azure.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
