Overview
Training Qualifications UK is a leading Apprenticeship End-Point Assessment Organisation approved by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, delivering assessments for various Apprenticeship Standards.
The role of an Apprenticeship End-Point Assessor involves providing independent, fair, reliable, and consistent assessment services. Assessors use their industry knowledge to make judgments and grading decisions after conducting assessment activities that test occupational competency.
This role requires flexibility, independence to travel, exceptional assessment skills, integrity, and impartiality. The successful candidate will manage a caseload, deliver assessments, train and standardize freelance assessors, undertake quality assurance, and support training for external customers. Sector areas include:
* Early Years Educator Level 3
* Early Years Practitioner Level 2
* Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5
Key Responsibilities
* Manage caseloads ensuring timely and standard-compliant completion of assessments
* Deliver high-quality assessment services to apprentices and employers
* Conduct assessments with integrity and impartiality
* Provide accurate feedback and reports to support assessment decisions
* Maintain knowledge of relevant apprenticeship standards and assessment plans
* Participate in internal quality assurance and moderation activities
* Support training and standardization of assessors
* Maintain ongoing CPD related to assessment and quality assurance
* Contribute to the development of assessment materials and resources
* Adhere to internal policies and confidentiality standards
* Travel as required, with access to own transport
Other Responsibilities
* Assist with complaints, discrepancies, and investigations into malpractice
* Liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth customer experience
* Report conflicts of interest and engage with company communications
* Support the screening and interviewing of assessors and IQAs
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Assess at least to Level 5 in Early Years Lead Practitioner with recent experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in competence-based interviewing
* Qualified to at least Level 6 in Early Years Education
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and safeguarding
* Current DBS check
* Relevant assessor qualification (e.g., D32/33, A1, TAQA) or EPA qualification
* Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths
* Experience in work-based learning assessment
* Proficient IT skills, especially Microsoft Office
* Experience producing assessment reports and conducting internal quality assurance
* Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
* Active CPD and sector knowledge
* Comfortable working in regulated environments and following SOPs
* Ability to work independently and adaptively
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Experience in End-Point Assessment delivery
* Knowledge of EYFS requirements and assessing children and families
* Level 5 qualification in Children, People and Young Families sector
* Experience assessing Level 2 and 3 Early Years Apprenticeships
* Internal Quality Assurer Qualification (e.g., D34, V1)
* Experience with External Quality Assurance activities
