Assistant Accountant London (Victoria) £38,000- £42,000 bonus & benefits We are looking for a hands on Assistant Accountant to support a rapidly growing division of a highly successful financial services business with international operations in 10 countries. This position reports to the Divisional Financial Controller and requires someone with a keen eye for detail who is hard working and a strong communicator. Wish List Qualified AAT(level 3 or 4) or 3 years experience in a similar role Prior experience of a transactional finance role People person who works well with colleagues at all levels Experience working in multi-entity or multi-currency business. A capable Excel user. The Role The successful Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the following: Post routine and ad-hoc journals Support the Finance Manager and FC with production of monthly management accounts Raise and post sales invoices Process purchase invoices Prepare and process payments Update cashbooks Perform bank reconciliations Support the maintenance of staff expense accounts e.g. company credit cards, cash expenses and cash advances Assist in the preparation of VAT returns Assist with external audit queries and audit schedule preparation. We need someone who is bright, enthusiastic and comfortable with the nitty gritty elements of finance in a fast paced international business. Great attention to detail and an ability to handle queries both internally and externally is essential Your Profile We are looking for a bright and adaptable Assistant Accountant who has experience delivering transactional finance tasks Prior experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment would be a big bonus. Experience of Sage would be a bonus as well as capable Excel skills. Benefits £38,000 - £42,000 plus bonus and benefits. This role is based in stunning offices in central London (near Victoria).
