Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The role involves servicing and maintaining a range of material handling equipment and identifying potential repairs/faults to ensure maximum reliability. Responsibilities include carrying out PAT and lifting equipment inspections and ensuring all site health & safety and PPE rules are maintained and observed at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Servicing, maintenance, and repair of material handling equipment including forklifts, side loaders, and reach trucks.
2. Using a market-leading fleet management system to complete parts orders, job sheets, and warranty work.
3. Providing a best-in-class customer experience for business customers.
4. Booking all planned maintenance with customers.
5. Agreeing workload with Field Service Team Leader prioritising as follows:
1. SG fleet.
2. Chargeable services.
3. Key accounts (i.e., national accounts, regional major accounts).
6. Supporting Patch Engineers.
7. Ensuring all chargeable services are completed.
8. Ensuring all fleet servicing is completed by the end of the month.
9. Maintaining daily telephone contact with Operations Controller to cover:
1. Service completion.
2. Estimate requests.
3. Damage requests.
4. Clearing out WIP.
10. Carrying out lifting equipment examinations, as required, and liaising with the Field Service Team Leader.
11. Carrying out PAT testing.
12. Performing other tasks as directed, commensurate with the efficient running of the organisation and within the skills and capabilities of the individual.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience in servicing, repair, or maintenance of material handling equipment (MHE), construction plant, agricultural machinery, powered access equipment, or forklift trucks.
2. Knowledge of automotive, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components.
3. Excellent customer service skills.
4. Relevant technical qualification would be advantageous.
