As a deputy team leader you will be required to lead and manage the theatres on a daily basis, providing excellent supervision, organisation and co-ordination of the staff and theatres.
The post-holder is responsible for supporting the Team Leader in providing leadership and effective management and co-ordination of patient activity, staffing and utilisation throughout the patient’s operative pathway, in order to promote a patient centred approach to high quality health care whilst upholding and influencing professional and Trust values.
This is an exciting opportunity with the Plastic, Pain, ENT and Maxillofacial Team and as the Clinical Specialist you will be responsible for;
• Supporting the Clinical Leader in providing expert Clinical practice in the Plastic, Pain, ENT and Maxillofacial Service
• Management of the Daily operating demand
• Assist with Implementation/ coordination of the development programmes for Qualified staff, preceptors, support staff – recruitment, skills improvement, retention
• Support with Staff Health and Well Being, Sickness management, under the guidance of the Clinical leader
• Involvement in Perfect Ward Audits, C4C, QAA audits/ Risk Management and Datix investigations
• Taking an active role in Appraisals and Mandatory Training
• To provide expert Clinical advice/leadership and managerial skills which will ensure the delivery of clinically effective service in line with local and national guidelines/ Trust Policies and Procedures
