Job Description:
Stantec UK is looking to recruit Archaeological Consultants at various career stages to join our heritage team within the Environmental Assessment division across the UK, focusing on major water, highways, and infrastructure projects. We collaborate with diverse stakeholders to develop innovative and sustainable solutions, working on some of the UK's most iconic projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global engineering firm expanding in the UK. You will work within professional, collaborative teams dedicated to delivering excellent solutions for our clients and communities. You'll have opportunities for personal development, career progression, and increased job satisfaction.
As a key member of our Archaeology and Heritage team, depending on your experience, you may handle client liaison, negotiations with LPA archaeological/heritage advisors, project management, risk analysis, data searches, research, mapping, and heritage assessments for various schemes. You will provide high-quality consultancy advice and develop archaeological and heritage mitigation strategies for projects ranging from small to nationally significant. The work scope will vary, presenting new challenges regularly.
About You
You should hold a degree in archaeology or a heritage-related field and ideally be a member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and/or the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC), or be working towards membership within twelve months of appointment.
You should possess solid multi-period knowledge of the British archaeological resource and the UK's legislative, consultancy, and planning policy frameworks. Excellent report writing skills and experience with GIS are preferred. Most importantly, you should embody our values of client focus and service excellence.
We pride ourselves on our friendly, collaborative culture at Stantec. We offer a competitive salary and benefits, flexible working arrangements, industry-leading training, engaging projects, and more!
