We are looking for skilled bank nurses to join the James Paget Hospital.
The nurse will assess basic and specialist care needs of patients and implement care without direct supervision. The nurse should act in a manner that justifies public trust and confidence to safeguard the interests of individual patients.
Main Duties of the Job
* Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
* Ensure that agreed standards of nursing practice within the ward/department area are maintained.
* Adhere to all Trust, Divisional, and Ward/Department Health & Safety Policies.
* Maintain personal contact with patients, other health care disciplines, relatives, and visitors.
* Provide mentorship support to new staff and student nurses.
* Undertake appropriate enhanced roles following necessary training, e.g., IV drug administration, ECG recording.
* Ensure safe custody and administration of drugs in accordance with Trust Policy.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Diploma/degree in nursing studies or working towards one.
Experience and Knowledge
* Relevant experience in the past 12-18 months of looking after patients in a healthcare environment.
* Previous NHS experience within the last 12 months.
* Previous experience within an acute setting.
* Broad clinical knowledge base.

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year pro rata per annum.
