Our client, a prominent organisation within the infrastructure sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Ipswich. This is a permanent position focusing on highways maintenance contracts, offering hybrid working arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying for a highways maintenance contract
Ensuring compliance with NEC3/NEC4 contracts, from procurement to completion
Conducting cost analysis and preparing budget forecasts and reports
Providing accurate advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution
Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery
Overseeing sub-contractors and ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to all contractual matters
Continuously improving processes and practices to foster a culture of excellence
Job Requirements:
Substantial experience in quantity surveying, preferably within infrastructure or related industries
Extensive experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related discipline
