Salary: Competitive Contract Type: Permanent We have a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Brands and Communications to join our Strategy & Corporate Development team here at Domestic & General. This role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s brand strategy and stakeholder engagement through tactical campaigns and initiatives that resonate with target audiences and align with overall business and commercial goals. This role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing our brand’s identity, leveraging our relationship with all our stakeholders to achieve our business goals, communicating our values both internally and externally, and driving cohesive brand messaging and strategic alignment across all our channels. Key Responsibilities: Brand strategy development, leading the development and execution of the company’s brand strategy and engagement campaigns that resonate with target audiences and align with overall business goals Directing and analysing market research and competitive analysis to inform brand positioning and identify growth opportunities Spearheading corporate stakeholder engagement, delivering successful engagement to support business goals and growth. Overseeing internal communication strategies and all external communications efforts that foster a strong understanding of the brand among employees and a consistency in messaging across all platforms and touchpoints. Managing people engagement campaigns to promote brand values and culture serving employees experience and recruitment needs Owning the development and management of public relations strategies to enhance and protect brand visibility and reputation Liaising regularly with product and marketing teams to align brand identity and strategy with product development and marketing initiatives Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to unify cross-departmental efforts in brand promotion Establishing metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of brand strategies, engagement campaign, and internal/ external communication outputs, providing regular reports to the Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer Analyse feedback and market trends to continuously refine and improve brand initiatives Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of creativity and strategic thinking, cooperation aligned to the behavioural principles of D&G Leading by example, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills. Support leadership education across brand impact Increase brand equity across the board Skills and experience required: Proven experience in brand strategy with a commercial mindset, preferably in a leadership capacity Strong understanding of brand development and management principles, with a track record of successful brand and engagement campaigns. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly product development and marketing. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions. A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
