We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to maintain our efficient, reliable manufacturing operations, leading the Engineering team, ensuring high-quality, safe machinery and infrastructure, collaborating with stakeholders, and overseeing all stages of engineering projects to meet deadlines and performance goals. Travelling will be required around the UK.

Key Areas of Responsibility
* Play a central role in technical, business, and organisational contributions affecting all departments.
* Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.
* Attends trade shows and conferences and makes site visits to suppliers’ facilities.
* Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
* Maintains high level expertise in their field or sector.
* Assures that processes meet Quality and safety compliance guidelines.
* Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
* Exposes technology and organisational needs across their sub-department.
* Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes. Working closely with Operations, Technical and QA.
* Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.
* Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
* Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.
* Provides a point of escalation for sub-department teams facing complex technical challenges.
* Proposes initial technical implementations which support architectural changes that solve scaling and performance problems.
* Looks for innovation opportunities between several teams with a willingness to experiment and to boldly confront problems of large complexity and scope.
* Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
* Teach, mentor, grow, and provide advice to other engineering colleagues, individual contributors, across several teams in their sub-department.
* Focuses on maturity of our TPM strategy, advancement from 0-3.
* Plan the next phase of Predictive maintenance approach across the business.
* Maintain and enhance our Engineering and Maintenance part inventory system.
* Monitor our business energy usage, propose and implement technology to reduce our CO2 impact.
* Work with Operations to develop and execute advancements in Industry 4.0 / 5.0

Relevant Qualifications
* 4-5 years relevant work experience.
* 1-2 years management experience.
* City and Guilds or similar Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic awards.
* BS in engineering (a plus).
* Master’s degree in engineering or MBA (a plus).
