Summary
You will be operating CNC press brakes, CNC laser, CNC punch, and Panel Bending machines including assembling, and welding tasks – working from drawings you will be responsible for the high-quality machining and folding of products. Within this role, you will also work on and assist with other general manufacturing activities when required.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Operate CNC Press Brakes, CNC Punch, and CNC Laser to produce precision parts
* Create machine programs for new parts, ensuring alignment with required specifications
* Perform quality checks using measuring equipment like calipers, height gauges and protractors
* Interpret engineering drawings and ensure work meets metric specifications
* Identify material types and manage raw material stock levels
* Set machine parameters and select appropriate programs for optimal performance
* Complete daily safety checks and ensure machines and work equipment are in good working order
* Perform day-to-day maintenance of equipment and MHE, reporting any faults
* Comply with company Health and Safety policies and regulations at all times
* Maintain professionalism, good communication, and positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
