Role as a Safeguarding Officer:
As a Safeguarding Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
• Handling safeguarding referrals and liaising with local authorities, social care teams, and the police
• Monitoring student welfare and updating safeguarding records using CPOMS
• Supporting staff with child protection concerns and ensuring safeguarding policies are followed
• Coordinating interventions for at-risk students and maintaining accurate case records
• Conducting safeguarding training for staff and promoting best practices across the school
