Job summary We are currently advertising for a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist. This post is for 10 programmed activities. The post holder will be expected to participate in a 1:10 on-call rota. The post offers the opportunity to work in a small, ACSA accredited department in an award winning hospital in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the heart of England in the rolling countryside near Skipton and Ilkley, close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of a team of Consultants and will be required to contribute to the ongoing development of the Department of Anaesthesia at Airedale Hospital. Applicants must - be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK. Including anaesthesia for paediatric patients down to 3 years or below subject to agreement with the paediatric lead. Management of patients on Critical Care, Labour Ward, Accident and Emergency Department, Operating Theatres, Hospital Wards, Radiology Department, Dales Suite, Pre-assessment Unit, Majax Response, Member of the Trauma Team.
