INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER (TEXTILES/ BEDDING BRAND )
HYBRID - MANCHESTER

Our client a successful textiles bedding brand are looking to recruit an experienced INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER (textiles/ fashion background) to join their team in Manchester on hybrid working to build a relevant, growing and profitable FMCG textiles business by extending their brands portfolio into all targeted trade channels, in existing & new categories/geographies across Europe, Germany, France Spain, US & Canada. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience within an similar role ideally with a textiles/ bedding /homeware /retail/ background.
The successful candidate will have experience working with European Retailers such as Retailers/stores: Westwing, Edeka, Galaries Lafayette, Monoprix, Carrefour, Christiania Glassmagasin, El Corte Ingles.
As a key member of the international sales team, the role will contribute to the achievements of the business’s overall growth plan by driving and delivering profitable sales in defined international territories. Responsible for achieving the budget goals of sales in the agreed markets you are expected to develop the sales and customer strategy for the region.
With your sales and business development experience you will also need to create the short; mid and long term sales strategies. You will have a strong interpersonal, analytical, and strategic skills which will enable you to manage the existing account based and have the ability to research and on-board new customers in order to further develop new business opportunities.
The successful candidate must has strong Distribution knowledge, and highly experienced in international sales preferably in US, Canada and Europe developing new business
Candidate Profile:
With 5- 10 years’ experience in sales and business development in the homeware or housewares categories, the ideal candidate will be proficient in at least 2 languages, preferably French, German, Italian or Spanish. You should be able to think strategically and be able to perform detailed planning to achieve the business objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience working with European Retailers such as: Westwing, Edeka, Galaries Lafayette, Monoprix, Carrefour, Christiania Glassmagasin, El Corte Ingles.
A proven history in business development and account management in the international market in textiles/ bedding/ homeware products.
Demonstrate track record of delivering sales and profitable growth.
Commercial sales experience within the housewares/homewares industry in desirable.
Experience with homeware/ textiles/ fashion products
Key Responsibilities:
Day to day management of the Group’s brands within defined territories across Europe, US and Canada
Exploring and developing new business opportunities in the overseas market
Manage the sales budget for defined territories.
Analyse and monitor the current global markets to identify and develop new sales opportunities and develop go to market strategies.
Actively contribute to the long-term vision and developing the international sales strategy
Manage and develop successful relationships with distributors, direct retail and new channels.
Work with existing and new relationships to create & implement business market plan – monitor and review.
Follow up leads quickly and efficiently to secure business.
Continually assess company progress through sales analysis and reporting at senior level
Provide global market intelligence and competitor activity reports to the management.
Proactively develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues that slow down or hamper the international procedures and activities.
Conduct market research on country visits
Adhere to country specific import legislation.
Working on licensing in the global markets.
Involvement with and organising of overseas exhibitions and trade shows.
