Residential Conveyancer (Full-time and Part-Time) – Bristol
Location: Bristol
Employment Type: Permanent – Part-Time (Monday to Wednesday, 9:00am to 5:00pm) or Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm)
Hybrid Working: Available following successful completion of the probationary period
Salary: Up to £65,000
The Opportunity
A highly regarded legal firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its expanding conveyancing team in Bristol. This role is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, providing flexibility for the right candidate. The successful individual will manage a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages, while benefiting from dedicated support from a Paralegal and Legal Secretary.

Key Responsibilities
Fee-Earning Conveyancer Work:
Interviewing clients, taking instructions, and maintaining detailed file notes. Reviewing compliance documentation and analysing source of funds evidence in line with AML regulations. Drafting and reviewing contract packages, raising enquiries, and conducting property searches. Preparing title, mortgage, and search reports. Acting for mortgage lenders and managing the exchange of contracts. Ensuring transactions are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales. Providing regular updates to clients regarding progress and costs. Keeping up to date with conveyancing law and best practices. Drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements. Participating in marketing and business development activities, including networking and social media engagement. Financial & Accounts Management:
Preparing bills of costs, completion statements, and managing fund transfers. Obtaining payments on account and requesting client cheques. Handling accounts-related processes, including telegraphic transfers and financial approvals. Ensuring compliance with firm-wide financial policies and procedures. The Ideal Candidate
The successful Conveyancer will:
Be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer. Have previous experience handling residential property transactions, ideally within the Bristol property market. Possess a Law degree or CILEx Professional Qualification (CPQ). Be IT literate and confident in using legal case management systems. Demonstrate high standards of client care, with a professional and personable approach. Have a proactive attitude towards marketing and business development, including networking and social media.
