We are seeking an experienced and motivated finance professional to take on a new role within the finance team of a long-standing and well-established fresh produce business. This position will partner closely with departmental management to drive effective decision-making and optimise business performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring strong collaboration and performance within the business unit.
2. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term scenario planning to protect against risks and maximize opportunities.
3. Ensure accurate costings while providing the Commercial teams with vital information to drive negotiations, maintaining tight governance to protect margins.
4. Use data-driven analysis to identify areas for improvement and work with management to address underperformance or capitalise on opportunities.
5. Maintain full control over balance sheet risk and opportunity, ensuring management is informed and action is taken accordingly.
6. Oversee the production of accurate and timely financial information, driving actions and decisions in the best interest of the business.
Is this you?
1. Strong experience as an accountant with excellent data analysis and financial skills.
2. Exceptional communication and influencing abilities, with a proven track record of building trust and challenging stakeholders.
3. A solid understanding of retail product costings and margins is advantageous.
4. Previous experience managing a team is desirable but not essential.
