One of our prestigious clients is looking for a Transport Manager to join their team. As a Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day transport operations, you will lead, motivate, and manage a team of drivers and staff, ensuring that delivery schedules
Key Responsibilities:
Manage checks and controls to uphold fleet safety and reliability, collaborating closely with vehicle maintenance service providers to minimize downtime.
Understand and implement relevant legislation and standards, liaise with internal specialists and regulatory authorities, and continuously improve safety performance.
Utilise working knowledge of relevant legislation, safety, quality procedures, and site operating instructions.
Lead the dispatching and scheduling functions for the area, ensuring all planned delivery schedules consider driver and vehicle compliance with relevant transport regulations.
Conduct performance reviews in line with company procedures to create a robust and efficient operation that meets financial targets and KPIs.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven skills in people management and leadership.
Sound working knowledge of current transport regulations and directives.
Knowledge of current employment legislation.
