Job summary Integrated community team are looking for skilled individuals with phlebotomy experience to join us to work within our community nursing service. we are looking for Band 2 Phlebotomists you will be part of a team delivering a high-quality service to housebound patients supporting referrals from our local partners. We are a cohesive team who are supportive, caring and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. As a phlebotomist you will work closely with nursing colleagues and the referral centre to deliver a phlebotomy service Monday to Fridays. Main duties of the job Main duties of the job The role of the phlebotomist is to provide a service to support community nursing within the Integrated Community Team (ICT). To ensure patients are able to access timely venepuncture as a result of an appropriately completed request from a clinician. Demonstrate an awareness of physical, psycho-social, cultural and environmental needs of patients and their family/carer when in patient's homes To obtain high quality blood samples from patients in the home environment Responsible for planning day to day work tasks and activities within an occasionally unpredictable environment To work independently and as part of a team.
