Technical Projects.
REPORTING TO: Technical Director.
The Role.
The Head of Live Technical Projects is responsible for ensuring the
successful technical delivery of BladeRoom Data Centre projects. This role
requires close coordination with all relevant departments and stakeholders to
oversee design implementation and commissioning.
You will lead the detailed planning and execution of live projects, ensuring the team fully
understands project specifications and requirements. As the main technical point of contact for the
client, you will maintain a strong, positive relationship, providing clear communication, enthusiasm,
and commercial awareness to drive successful outcomes.

mechanical and electrical design standards
in line with client specifications and
regulatory requirements.
• Maintain clear communication with all

eliminate uncertainty.
• Develop comprehensive project technical
programmes in collaboration with
internal teams, client requirements, and
subcontractor schedules.
• Organise planning activities and
workshops, involving clients, internal
departments, and subcontractors to ensure
technical compliance.
• Mentor the Commissioning Manager (direct
report) and provide ongoing support to the
commissioning team.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and internal
processes by the live projects support and
commissioning team.
• Develop a strong understanding of BRG’s
technical design and assist the Technical
Director and external consultants in ensuring
project compliance.
• Review design information to facilitate
subcontractor work and maintain
project schedules.
• Manage and liaise with subcontractors on
technical project matters within the BRG
Assembly Facility and on-site.
• Assist in creating health and safety plans,
RAMS, and other required procedures for
site-based technical works.
• Establish and communicate BRG’s
expectations for commissioning readiness
with the client and ensure site preparation
meets requirements.
• Set high-quality standards and drive
excellence within the commissioning teams.
• Support project and site management teams
in liaising with external consultants engaged
by BRG and the client.
• Collaborate with the Commissioning
Manager to oversee subcontractor
performance, ensuring alignment with
programme schedules, quality standards, and
project specifications.
• Act as the primary liaison with the client
regarding all technical project work carried
out on-site.
• Monitor and report project progress,
including weekly updates for the Operations
report and client report.

Person Specification.
KNOWLEDGE.
• BEng in appropriate engineering discipline.
• Desirable MCIBSE/MIEE/IMechE
Professional Membership.
• 10 year stakeholder management
• 5 years plus of senior management in DC or
critical infrastructure industry.
EXPERIENCE.
• 7+ Years’ data centre engineering experience
at Senior Engineer level or above.
• Essential experience in leading dynamic
teams in a live project environment to achieve
a successful project outcome.
• Strong client engagement and
communication experience.
• Research independently.
