Job Description:
Technical Interior Designer – Residential Developer Projects
Remote (with occasional travel to London)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
Software: AutoCAD
A small, design-led architectural practice working with residential developers is seeking a Technical Interior Designer to join their team. This is a remote role, but you’ll need to be within commuting distance of London for the occasional meet-up, workshop, or site visit. The practice prides itself on delivering thoughtfully detailed residential interiors with a focus on quality, function, and timeless design.
We’re looking for someone confident in producing detailed technical drawing packages in AutoCAD, ideally with experience in the residential or housing development sector. You’ll be the go-to for ensuring that beautifully considered design concepts are technically robust and ready for site.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Creating full drawing packs for tender and construction using AutoCAD
2. Collaborating with the architectural team and external consultants across all RIBA stages
3. Supporting project delivery with documentation, schedules, and site coordination
4. Bringing calm, clarity, and precision to every project you touch
5. Working independently and communicating clearly while remote
What You’ll Bring:
1. Solid experience in residential interiors or fit-outs—ideally for developers or private clients
2. Expert AutoCAD skills and a strong eye for detail
3. Confidence working remotely with minimal supervision
4. A proactive, organised approach and clear communication skills
5. A design-related degree or diploma
6. Bonus: Experience in bespoke joinery detailing or small practice environments
The Practice:
1. Small, collaborative team with a hands-on approach
2. Remote-first working, with occasional London meet-ups
3. Growing studio with a strong pipeline of residential work
Must be UK-based with the right to work. This role is remote, but applicants should live within reach of London for occasional meetings or site visits.
