Music Director
Duties:
1. Plan and lead music programs and performances
2. Select appropriate musical pieces for rehearsals and performances
3. Conduct rehearsals and provide guidance to musicians and singers
4. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate music events and performances
5. Assist in the recruitment and audition process for new musicians and singers
6. Provide musical education and training to students
7. Ensure the proper maintenance and care of musical instruments and equipment
Requirements:
1. Experience working with choir in a music education setting
2. Proficient in playing one or more musical instruments
3. Strong knowledge of music theory, composition, and performance techniques
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills
5. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of musicians, singers, and staff members
6. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for rehearsals and performances
Note: A bachelor's degree in music or a related field is preferred but not required.
