Roles and Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter:
1. Responsible for mechanical breakdowns, fault finding and repairing manufacturing machinery
2. Maintenance of manufacturing machinery covering shafts, bearings, hydraulics/pneumatics etc.
3. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service, and Repairs of machinery
4. Opportunity to be involved with a wide range of maintenance operations and projects.
Experience and Qualifications Required of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter:
1. Engineering qualified by either Apprenticeship: Advanced Advanced Apprenticeship, or City and Guilds Level 3, BTEC Level WITH NVQ Level Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or ONC
2. Experience and sound knowledge of covering shafts, bearings, hydraulics/pneumatics etc.
3. Ability to fault find, repair, and provide solutions to machinery problems
4. Previous Maintenance Engineer/ Maintenance Fitter/ fitting experience carrying out industrial planned and reactive maintenance
5. The ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment undertaking PPM.
