The role
To ensure all bulk trays, bins and other items used in production are washed hygienically and in line with company procedures.
Key accountabilities
• Operating the tray wash machine to wash bulk bins, tubs and equipment ready for use again in production.
• Hand washing larger items, ensuring gross debris has been removed first.
• Compliance to site procedures regarding wastewater discharge consent.
• Operating floor cleaning equipment in the bakery.
• Supporting the wider Hygiene Team when required – e.g. line changeovers.
• Completion of cleaning records.
• Working with chemicals.
• Working in a safe manner ensuring all company health and safety policies are adhered to.
• Ensuring that hygiene supervisors are updated with all relevant information.
Skills & experience
• Self reliant – ability to work both as an individual and a team member.
• Demonstrate high standards of hygiene.
• Basic food hygiene training preferred but not essential as training will be provided
• Chemical training preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
